Safety Classes Offered

The Putnam Valley Voluntary Ambulance Corps periodically offers safety classes to the Putnam Community and all are invite to attend for a nominal fee, (see InHouse Training drop down window for prices). CPR will be given on Oct. 16, Nov 20 and Dec 11 from 7 to 10 pm. First Aid will be given on Oct 9, Nov 18 and Dec 4 from 6:30 to 10:30 pm. The courses will be given at the Putnam Valley Ambulance ... The Putnam Valley Volunteer Ambulance Corps had a booth at the Putnam Valley Town Day. They provided free blood pressure testing along with information on upcoming safety and health classes. To the delight of kids of all ages the Youth Corps sold cotton candy. Putnam Valley Fire Department Drill

On July 22, 2008 the Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department held a drill at the PV Elementary School. Drills are held on regular basis so the Volunteer Fireman can keep their skills up to date. They used one of the temporary buildings (which will be removed shortly) to practice fire suppression, roof ventilation and patient extraction.
